Energy digitalization is quickly advancing in the energy sector, where new IoT-related technologies are being adopted. One great example is smart homes, where systems automate energy use. To improve the way we manage energy demands, there are efforts to develop smart grids. Moreover, many explore the idea of a circular economy in the hopes of managing waste more effectively and addressing important social challenges.
Advanced monitoring systems may enhance service quality and patient safety. Healthcare systems are improved through an e-health approach using IoT devices. They lead to faster treatment decisions and better rehabilitation as they can identify life-threatening conditions. Large healthcare organizations can also benefit from greater efficiency and cost savings, which are important for hospitals. Various IoT applications and devices were explored during the COVID-19 pandemic to monitor and control it, showing the impacts of IoT products in healthcare.

The need for continued innovation in electronic components, user-friendly software, and advancements in sensing technologies and data acquisition systems arises.
The responsible development of IoT technologies requires addressing these considerations. Sustainability emerged as a crucial concern for our population as the rapid advancement of technology presents numerous advantages. It is essential to closely monitor and assess these developments from an environmental perspective to mitigate harmful effects and ensure the responsible use of resources. A thorough examination of the benefits and drawbacks associated with IoT technologies through comprehensive research is necessary.
